SIX Baltic’s rooftop restaurant in Gateshead

Six is Baltic’s stunning Rooftop Restaurant offering fantastic local food, spectacular panoramic views of the Tyne , it’s bridges and the surrounding areas as well as a cosy cocktail bar with a glass wall with out onto the Tyne, Sage and Newcastle’s city centre. There are not many people in the North East that have not seen this venue but most will have likely see it from the ground up. What better way to showcase this than with a Google Tour so that everyone can see inside and indeed outside and appreciate just what a setting this could be for that special occasion. It was with this thought that I was asked to provide a tour for Six by their marketing team.

I spent the whole day and evening on site for this tour as well as others at Baltic. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day hopping between floors, inside and out as the light changed, even running across the Millenium Bridge chasing sunlight and shadows. The Restaurant was photographed in daylight but as you will see, should you take a look through to the cocktail bar – as you step inside, the sun goes down, the bridges light up and you have one of the best views Gateshead has to offer. All that is left is for me to return to sample their latest menu which was definitely tempting at the time – oh and add a cocktail to that!
