The Sausage Emporium

Set in an old railway arch in the heart of Newcastle, the  Sausage Emporium is a food haven established to give folks a chance to rediscover the delights of hand-crafted butcher’s sausages. Real ale from the likes of the local Wylam brewery, varied wine list with some unusual options worth a try and something for everyone including vegetarian and fish options. The jewel in the crown is little Hannah – you have never been meated and greeted like this before – check out the photos for Hannah. Parking available all around the arches – no excuse not to give it a try.

I met Briony around a year ago and have kept in touch as when the emporium first opened – they wanted to make some changes to it first and wanted to hold off on the tour until everything was in place – details! Briony had always seen the benefits of the project and was in the fortunate position of being able to see some live tours of nearby businesses in Newcastle city centre. Once the date was set – I arrived on site to find everyone busy getting things just so – they had had an extremely busy and late previous night with a games evening that went off very well. The tour was completed with the smell of cooking just starting up and all ready with the first customers of the day arriving.  Great place – great tour. Now to go back and sample some more of the menu!
